This is for registered Spring 2025 High School Racing sailors only.

Sailors wishing to race on the Varsity team must RSVP for tryouts. You may attend either day and only need to attend one.

Tryouts will asses the following skills:

general racing rules knowledge
rigging and de-rigging an FJ
roll tacking
ability to adapt to coaching on the fly
reception to feedback

Sailors should come to tryouts with a positive attitude and appropriate gear to sail in the current weather conditions. That includes a life jacket, boots/close-toed footwear, a water bottle, and other appropriate gear.

The goal of tryouts is to place sailors in the optimal environment based on their current abilities to encourage their growth and match their skill and commitment level to their peers.
