Register to Race
NOTICE: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2019
All regatta registrations are now closed.
GOOD LUCK AND SAIL FAST!
The 2019 Cantina Cup Fundraising Regatta is accepting registrations for the DC Sail Fleet of Flying Juniors and Flying Scots.
For Privately-Owned fleets (Albacores, Buccaneers, Flying Scots, Inland Scows, Lasers, Lightnings, etc.) wishing to compete, please contact the Potomac River Sailing Association for regatta registration information. Click here to be delivered to their webpage.
Flying Junior Fleet Registrations: FJ sailors who do not have a skipper or crew may sign up as individuals and the course PRO will make pairings the day of the regatta.
FJ registration is limited to 36 full teams; 18 junior teams (silver fleet), and 18 adult teams (gold fleet). Junior teams are sailors 20 years of age or younger. Registration for the FJ fleets will remain open until the fleet is full.
Flying Junior Race Course: DC Sail's FJs and privately-owned Lasers will share a course, also known as course area 1, that will be located on the Anacostia River off of the DC Sail docks.
Flying Scot Fleet Registration: There are six DC Sail owned Flying Scots available for Team Registrations. Our boats are available to both DC Sail members and the public on a first come, first reserved basis. Registration will close when the fleet registrations are full.
Flying Scot Race Course: Potomac River location TBD at Skippers Meeting the morning of the event.
DC Sail Fleet Registrants' Skippers Meeting: The Washington Nationals' home game the evening prior to the day of the regatta, prevents us from hosting a Friday evening Skippers Meeting due to congestion and other logistics. DC Sail's Flying Scot Skippers Meeting will take place for our registrants at 8:45 AM. DC Sail's Flying Junior Skippers Meeting will be at 9:15 AM. Both will take place at the DC Sail Diamond Teague Park Piers docks on Saturday, September 14th.
If you have questions regarding the logistics of the regatta, please contact Brian McNally at bmcnally@dcsail.org.

Cantina Cup serves as our annual fundraising event to help maintain our Youth Scholarship Program.
In 2019, DC Sail will have issued over $20,000 in scholarship value to under-served youth in our area. Cantina Cup's financial support directly impacts our ability to provide this community benefit to kids less fortunate than ourselves, who would otherwise have no access to sailing and boating safety programs here in DC. With your help by participating, donating, and attending our annual fundraising event, we hope to provide even more scholarship opportunities in 2020!
