Registration

  • For qualified family with less than $50,000 annual household income. Documentation required. Sailors at this level will not compete in weekend regattas.
  • Sailors registered at this level will attend after school practices and will compete in weekend regattas. Please note that there will be an additional registration fees as much as $150 to cover ISSA League registrations if sole participant from any given school. For multiple sailors attending from a single school, we will work with families to share the $150 league fees.
  • For qualified family with less than $50,000 annual household income. Documentation required. Sailors registered at this level will attend after school practices and will compete in weekend regattas. (*Additional Fees may be invoiced.)
  • Sailors registered at this level will not compete in weekend regattas.

Welcome to the JV/Varsity High School Racing Program!

After-school practices and the regatta schedule will be confirmed once logistics are in place. Coaching staff will be in touch with an updates as needed.

Registration is a Two-Part Process. 

Step One: Please submit both the online registration along with full payment with a credit/debit card. Unpaid registrations will be automatically cancelled by the system after 15 minutes. Please make sure you have your payment information available at the time of registration to assure the completion of the online registration process.

When entering information into the form, please enter parent name at the top of the form. There are fields below on the form for sailors' information.

Step Two: Launch, print and complete hard copy Registration Form.  

Please click here for the Spring 2024 Registration Document. Sailors should bring the hard copy original forms at Tryouts or the first day of practice and deliver to Coaching Staff.

Practice and home regattas take place at DC Sail, Diamond Teague Park Piers, 99 Potomac Street SE, Washington, DC 20003.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: 

  • Requests for cancellation 30+ days from start date would receive a full refund.
  • Requests for cancellation within 30 days to 14 days from start date would receive a 75% refund.
  • Requests for cancellations with less than 14 days prior are non-refundable
DC Sail will not offer “pro-rated” discounts or refunds once the season has commenced. Sailors are required to be fully committed to attend all scheduled practices and to complete the season prior to registration.

Spring 2024 Season:

For sailors wishing to advance to the Varsity Team, Tryouts will take place at DC Sail. Time and Date TBA. We do not "cut" as a result of Tryouts. It is an opportunity for Coaching Staff to evaluate sailors' skills. (Tryouts are not required for JV or Green Fleet.)

After-School Practice Schedule:

The Spring Season will official start on March 4th. After registration, Varsity Sailors will be reached out to for required "work days" prior to the start week.

Varsity Sailors will be required to attend three after-school practices on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

JV/Green Fleet will be required to attend two after-school practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fridays will be by invitation by Coaching Staff.

The Spring Season will officially end on May 10th, with the exception of sailors participating in end-of-season invitational regattas.
