Hailing all Pirates, Ghoulies, Witches and Wizards!

DC Sail's end-of-season, spooktacular "Halloween Regatta." complete with costumed sailors, will be hosted on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

The Halloween Regatta is open to the DC Sail Members and Non-Members! Friends and Family are welcome to register for the event. (Current DC Sail Fall 2022 High School Racing Program sailors are also invited! Rally your fellow DC Sail HSR sailors to form teams.)

Following the Regatta, RC will present an Awards Ceremony for the 2022 Adult Racing Program Series, the Halloween Regatta, and BEST COSTUME! 

Cost: $35/per person.

Registration: This registration form is for Skipper/Crew registration where you already know who you are sailing with for the regatta. (If you do not have a Team, please use the Individual link to register. RC will assist with setting you up with another sailor.) Please note we will only be using the Flying Junior fleet for this event. FJ sailing experience is required.

Time: Arrival at 11:30 AM for check in and "Bountiful Boooo-fet" (Bagels, pastries, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. will be provided.)

Regatta: Skippers Meeting at 12:00 Noon.

First Race: Est. 12:30 PM, wrapping up by 3:15 PM.

Awards Ceremony: 3:45 PM.

Location: Racing will take place at our Diamond Teague Park Piers location. 99 Potomac Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20003. Please click here to launch a Google Map. 

Don your best costume, bring a refillable water bottle, and some snacks. See you on the docks Saturday, October 29th!

*Special Notes:

  • For our F&B (menu) planning logistics, registration will close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
  • Should the weather conditions fall within the realm of the "Wet/Dry Suit" requirements where there is a heightened risk of hypothermia resulting from capsize, (air/water combined temperatures of less than 120 degrees, e.g.; air temperature 50 degrees - water temperature 63 degrees,) the event will be cancelled. Other WX conditions that may cause cancellation include relentless rain, high winds, no wind, etc. 
  • The event will also be cancelled if there are low registration numbers of fewer than 10 paid participants. 
  • In the event of cancellation, we will send an email message to registrants and will issue a full refund of registration fees.
