Tonight is DC Sail's monthly Open House, "Social Sail and Barbeque!" To participate in both the sailing and the food and beverage afterward the cost is $30 ($20 sailing/$10 food and beverage).
Get to know your fellow sailors ranging from the beginner to advanced level while enjoying a relaxing evening on the Potomac. Inexperienced sailors get grouped with experienced sailors prior to leaving the docks.
This is about having fun and a good time!
Beginning May 15th, every Wednesday evening through September 13th, DC Sail hosts an open house for prospective members of DC Sail. No sailing experience is necessary.
When: Arrive between 5:30-6:00 pm to gain access to the docks. The event will run until sunset around 8:00 pm.
Cost: Sailing is free for members, $20 for non-members. If you want to pay online, just bring your receipt or you can also pay down at the dock!
BBQ: Cost to join us for supper following sailing is $10 for both DC Sail Members and guests.
Weather: We will cancel the event in the event of severe weather, high winds, or no-wind situations. Please check our home page as well as Facebook page for updates. If thunderstorms are in the area (within 10-15 miles) near the start time, chances are the event will be called off for safety.
*Note: time on the water is about an hour and is based upon the number of participants. Boats will be filled, head out for sailing, return to the docks and new skipper/crew will be allocated.
