In celebration of our 2016 Youth Programs, participants from the 2016 High School Racing Program, Kids Set Sail, Schooner Camp and Spirit of America Boating Safety Camp are invited to our 2nd Annual Youth Regatta!
We will have buoy racing in our sailboats, kayak and canoe racing, and our schooner,"American Spirit" will host brief rides and sailing skills "challenge" racing such as raising the main by team, etc.
A full day of wonderful on Sunday, August 21st. The event will be at our dock location: The Wharf/Gangplank Marina, 600 Water Street SW, Washington, DC 20024. Note that parking is not available and the use of public transportation or taxi/Uber service be utilized if attending the event.
Please plan ahead to allow for ample time to arrive for the 1:00 PM kickoff! Strongly recommend the use of public transportation to the location as there is no parking in the area due to the construction.
Registration is easy for parents to manage. Simply select the program our child has completed and move through the form.
There is no fee to attend the event. Donations to assist with the cost of food and beverage will be gladly accepted.
Guests, parents, grand-parents, and siblings will be welcome. For safety and logistics, only those children who have completed either the High School Racing Program or one of our Summer Camps will be permitted access to the water and boats.
We will also have some land-based activities so siblings can join in on the fun!
