Capsize Lessons

Sailing in heavy air (or seas) can be fun but there's also an increased risk of capsizing your boat. Our capsize lesson will give you the skills to right a boat after capsizing. After a demonstration from our highly trained instructors, you will purposely capsize and right an FJ in the Washington Channel. This course is necessary for completing the US Sailing Level One Course.

We offer the course every other Sunday from 1 PM to 2 PM weather pending.

While life jacket use is mandatory, by enrolling in this course we assume you are able to swim. Be sure to bring extra clothing to change into after the course.
